Serves as an expert in database systems engineering and administration. Undertakes the most complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Makes well-thought-out decisions on the most complex or ambiguous database systems engineering issues. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements the most complex database components, tools, and utilities. Makes the most complex modifications to existing hardware/software to fit specialized needs and configurations. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Analyzes, designs, develops and implements the most complex solutions, modifications, or enhancements to existing database environments for the company and/or a particular business unit. Identifies and defines new database technologies to fit specialized business needs and configurations. 2. Designs, develops, tests, debugs, documents, and implements the most complex database components, tools, and utilities. 3. Executes all aspects of the most complex systems database engineering projects, which involve multiple disciplines. 4. Participates in the configuration/capacity planning, software product evaluation, systems performance analysis and optimizations for database environments. 5. Installs the most complex database hardware/software products by analyzing the current system environment, using technical tools and utilities, performing the most complex product customization, and developing implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful installation of database hardware/software. 6. Performs all other duties as assigned. Day-to-day job responsibilities and expectations: · Oracle 11g/12c administration, 5 years; · Oracle RAC and Dataguard administration, 3 years · SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 administration, 3 years · ETL package build/troubleshooting experience is a plus (i.e. MS SQL Server Integration Services, Informatica, etc.) · Understands relational database concepts and architecture · Understands database servers and networking · Understands complex architectures associated with High Availability and Disaster Recovery · Oracle 11g/12c Administration Required 5 Years In-depth Knowledge · Oracle Dataguard, RAC build and support Required 3 Years Working Knowledge · SQL Server 2005, 2008 Administration Required 3 Years In-depth Knowledge · ETL packages (SSIS, Informatica) Desired 3 Years Working Knowledge -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
