*Requirements:*

·         10+ years of IT experience of which 5+ years should be in the
architecture role in defining highly scalable in-depth database
architecture in LUW DB2 (10.x and above). Prior experience in database
administration preferred, but this is NOT a DBA role.

·         3-5 years of strong logical/physical database design using Erwin
9.x

·         Provides thought leadership for database management systems
(DBMS) use, design and implementation in OLTP and OLAP systems

·         Experience in database multi node and table partitioning
implementations, fault tolerant and highly available systems, and
distributed database systems, database configuration/recommendation, data
replication ( preferably Infosphere Qreplication and other messaging
technologies), federation and partitioning (DPF)

·         Experience in database upgrades, backup/recovery, Database
security, Capacity planning, disaster recovery, database migration,
snapshot technologies, enterprise monitoring and frameworks

·         Previous hands-on experience in database optimization and
performance tuning using buffer pools, partitioning, memory management and
data management techniques.

·         Experience working with database migration packages in
distribution systems

·         Experience with leading or participating on large-scale
technology projects integrating multiple platforms and third-party
applications

Architecture skills:

·         Deep understanding of application life-cycle management

·         3+ years of senior architecture role

·         Understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts, industry
standards and best practices

·         Experience in multiple development methodologies (waterfall,
agile, lean) and expert knowledge of SDLC principles and processes

·         Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that
non-technical people may understand

·         Excellent analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience in other RDBMS such as Postgres (strong plus) and MS
SQL Server

·         Experience in Big Data and No-SQL databases (HBase, Cassandra,
MongoDb)

·         Working knowledge of system hardening best practices, methods and
access control methodologies

·         Educational Qualifications

·         B. S. or beyond in computer science or a related field

·         Good to have financial/banking domain experience
