*Sr. Front End Developer* *Bellevue WA* *6 month plus contract* *Phone and F2F* *Important factors for this Front End Role – * · Problem solving – when there is a problem how do they tackle · How to implement solutions with Javascript · How efficiently and sufficiently they use Javascript · They need to be a strong Javasript developer and be Strategic at the same time. · They are Shipping code to the browers – single page apps · Knowing Librarires: controller concept is a big plus · Expedia uses Handlebar and Backbone, but Mustache or any other is fine. · They are looking for a strong Application developer that knows Javascript · Understand the Javascript foundation – *Requirements are as follows:* Design, develop, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools. Drive technical direction at the application/product levels for various small to mid-sized projects. Design, specifications, schedule and provide quality implementation of a component or feature (typically 1-3 months in duration). Provide alternative solutions to various issues. Resolve issues and roadblocks and be able to ascertain any potential future issues- Follow through on details and drive issues to closure. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others. Work collaboratively with all members of technical staff. Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components. Participate in and provide input to requirements definitions. *Required qualifications:* • A minimum of 5 years designing and developing in large scale, production quality code in a professional software developer role • Self-starter and quick learner who possesses exceptional attitude and aptitude • 3 years’ experience in Web page development using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery), AJAX, • Familiarity with software development patterns for JavaScript • Strong software object oriented design skills and experience with proven design and architecture patterns Knowledge of other OO languages like Java, C++ • Strong problem solving skills to efficiently implement projects with difficult requirements • Experience designing and optimizing code for robustness, scalability and performance. • Experience developing customer facing web applications • Ability to clearly document and communicate software architecture and design • Ability to consume specifications, give feedback, provide estimates and translate into implementation • Ability to work collaboratively with team members Preferred, but not required: • Knowledge of various JavaScript libraries (Handlebar/Mustache, LESS, Backbone JS, Require JS) • Experience with Tomcat and/or Spring frameworks • Knowledge of analytics tools used for optimizing web sites • Good knowledge of XML, XSD and API development • Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline *Email is the best way to reach me.* ISO 9001:2008 Certified WMBE Firm 1441 E.
