Here's the Job Description Position: Sr. Linux Systems Administrator Location: Bearkely CA Duration: 6+ Months *Departmental Overview:* - The person in this position is part of the CTS-Collaboration Tools unit, which supports campus-wide email. - The incumbent serves as principal technical administrator for the CalMail email system. - This position is responsible for operation of this central campus system. *System Administration:* - Install, configure and maintain Exim Internet Mailer and *Cyrus on Red Hat* - *Enterprise** Linux servers.* *Application Administration:* - Email application administration (Exim, Cyrus, Mailman) Implement new - software and hardware to control spam and malware. - Protocol analysis of connection problems with other systems or network - elements. - Performance analysis and tuning of the collaboration systems. *Software Development:* - Python scripts or other scripting lang. - Modifications to existing software written in a variety of languages (ex. - Python, C, Java) *Required Qualifications:* - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area and/or equivalent - experience/ training. - Expert in Exim or Cyrus - Expert in Python other scripting lang - Past experience administering large email systems Previous Linux systems - administration, preferably Red Hat Proficient at SQL, preferably MySQL Must - be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner across the organization and at varying levels. - Has knowledge, skills and abilities associated with problem identification and resolution. - Has knowledge necessary to operate and correct malfunctions involving application of technology systems. *Preferred Qualifications* - Prior higher-ed experience - Experience working in a variety of programming languages Regards, *Chetan Kumar | Technical Recruiter* Paramount Software Solutions, Inc *(An E-Verified Company)* Atlanta, GA Ph: 770-708-2315 Fax: 770-234-3823 Email: che...@paramountsoft.net www.paramountsoft.net -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
