*Location - Atlanta, GADuration :- 1 yrRate: $50/hrJob Description for Pricing Analyst* POSITION PURPOSE – The position’s main criteria would be to have the following responsibilities 1. Learn and build statistical models to understand long-term effect of Price change or Promotion: Persistence Modeling 2. Estimate and eliminate noise from data while modeling Elasticity; in addition giving more precedence to recent price changes: can 3. Research and build a repository of alternative techniques to model elasticity when number of price changes are few: Non-parametric, Bayesian, etc. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - - Collect and perform a standard set of analytics in support of the Product Line Reviews and Business Reviews by scraping and analyzing large data sets for relevant information - Review current pricing strategy against brick and mortar and on-line competitors - Research and test new methods of pricing analytics to make the current models more effective - Conduct pricing tests on the new potential models and proposed changes - Provide thought leadership to the Pricing Development group for improvements in automation, efficiency and standard analyses - Lead a development team of data molders to build a working model of the selected pricing approach EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
