Perform audits of the software testing lifecycle for adherence to corporate standards. Leads group with the enforcement of structured Software Testing standards including test planning, test preparation, test executing, and test reporting for enterprise projects. *Responsibilities:* - Facilitate usage of the Test Resources. - Lead the project test team and testing activities of > 5 indirect testing personnel, which may include off-shore and/or on-shore resources. - Responsible for driving the testing process by contributing to the entire SDLC from business scope to deploy and production install. - Responsible for the quality and completion of testing deliverables. - Create and approve test plans for content and completeness. - Estimate testing resources and project testing hours for the project. - Define current and upcoming tasks, assignments & effort meeting the project timelines and quality. - Review and audit projects related to test deliverables. - Approve project level testing metrics. - Audit all phases of the software testing lifecycle for adherence to corporate standards. - Provide input to Test Manager for associate performance appraisals. - Develop and monitor traceability matrices. - Establish and maintain test/development environments. - Perform with the evaluation and selection of automated test tools. - Provide Project Team with a weekly test summary report. - Develop, enhance, and maintain the client’s Test Methodology. - Facilitate professional certification of test personnel. - Define project testing related metrics. - Approve project related test deliverables. - Coordinate with BA/SA, Tech Team, Service Delivery and/or Business for review of test scenarios/test cases. - Lead and coordinate defect management efforts & meetings (including management of the defect tracking database) meeting the project timelines and quality. - Perform testing related statistical analysis. - Perform defect root cause analysis. - Review, analyze and understand the requirements to identify Quality gaps, provide appropriate test coverage, and ensure Quality of projects. - Responsible for the quality and completion of testing deliverables. - Create and maintain the Master Test plan and facilitate its review with appropriate Stakeholders. - Provide application knowledge to onsite/offshore test team for application(s) under test. - Coordinate with Business Analyst or other appropriate resources to resolve clarifications. - Interact with interfacing application team(s) to setup/ create test data. - Coordinate with other client areas to ensure proper scheduling and coordination of test deliverables and quality controls. - Coordinate the implementation validation activities with the deployment team, ensuring that QA is specifically called out in the deployment plan. - Communicate regularly with the Project Manager on test estimations and staffing needs/changes. - Communicate and coordinate with the QA Manager on all activities and provide a weekly status report on the Quality “Health” of the project. *Preferred Qualifications:* - 8 years minimum experience in systematic software testing. - Expert with IEEE and/or ISO testing standards. - Must have medium Project Management experience. - Must have experience with managing test/developing data and hardware environments. - Must have experience with Defect, risk, and statistical analysis. - Strong oral & written communication with technical and non-technical staff. - Must be proficient with Capture/Playback automation tool and methodologies. - Must be proficient with performance tuning & monitoring of enterprise applications. - Must have advanced testing and troubleshooting applications running on MVS, UNIX, and WINDOWS. - Demonstrated proficiency in the quality and quantity of test case procedures, test scripts, identified defects, defect reports. - Deep experience in all aspects of testing from unit, integration, system, functional, regression to acceptance is required. - Preferred programming languages: C++, Java, VBA - Preferred Tool experience WinRunner, LoadRunner., Silkperformer, TestRunner, Endoscope, Quality Center, QTP, Clarity, Star Team, Share Point Team - Deep knowledge of Retail / IS industry, SDLC, STLC best practices in SW Testing and QA and Risk Based Testing. - Ability to assess perceived quality, business impact and associated functional and technical risk. *Additional Information and Disclaimers: * - Regular attendance is required - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others - Critical features of this job are described under the headings above.
