Please include the answers to the screening questions below.. *Role:** SAP BODS/SAP BODI consultant with ETL exp* *Location: harrisburg pa* The Senior ETL Lead is a key role in the Business Intelligence Technical Services and Architecture team and works closely with business leaders and users to define, develop and implement the data architecture for business intelligence applications. Design and Develop components of databases, data schema, data storage, data queries, data transformations, and data warehousing applications. Drive technical direction for projects. Assess business rules and collaborate internally, and with business owners to understand technical requirements and implement analytical and technical solutions. Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur; and consistently follow through on details and drive issues to closure. Write documentation and communicate database design. Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components. This role will also be responsible for the strategy, design and architecture of ETL tools to support TE next generation data warehouse. This person will drive the transformation of the current TED (TE Data warehouse) to a SAP Centric Architecture with standardized ETL processes and lead the transformation of the TED Organization to enable the business to visually consume and interact with information. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Implementing and optimizing ETL processes using SAP Business Objects Data Services / SAP Business Objects Data Integrator - Design the data integration architecture including selection of ETL Vendor products and implementation of ETL solutions using one of the leading ETL packages (e.g., SAP Data Integrator..) - Design and implementation of an operational data store and data warehouse on one of the leading database platforms (e.g., SAP HANA , Teradata , Oracle …) - Review development and test specifications; performing data analysis; providing development support for existing systems - Troubleshooting data and/or system issues; building/extending toolsets; creating/maintaining batch jobs; creating systems documentation - Provide data analysis and identify data related issues as needed - Ability to conduct discovery, perform root cause analysis, and make recommendations for the remediation of data quality issues - The ability to design and recommend data policies and governance structures and control frameworks for the ongoing management of data *Requirements * - 8+ years of Solid experience with SAP Data Services ( Business Objects Data Integrator ) or other standard ETL tools and is required - Solid experience with SAP Business Objects Data Services ( Data Integrator), Business Objects technologies - Experience in large data warehouse implementations is a must - Strong background in Data Warehousing environment - Database development in an DW environment is a must have with an eye for tuning and performance - MS/BS degree in a computer science field or related discipline OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS: - Applies Knowledge in the field of Business Intelligence and Data warehousing to resolve complex issues, to analyze of situations or data which requires an evaluation of intangibles to define the solution - Advises TEIS Enterprise Business Intelligence management and customers on advanced technical issues and provides technical expertise within the company in the areas of Business Intelligence , Analytics , Data warehousing and Master Data Management - Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; presents technically complex concepts in a way to foster understanding and acknowledgement of critical information - Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation - Adapts and makes departures from traditional methods or approaches to develop solutions by evaluating a balanced risk based approach to support TEL business objectives - Independently determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results - Interacts and/or negotiates effectively with external and/or internal customers at all levels - Provides training and mentorship to other professional employees - Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments - Responsible for adhering to budgets - Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms - Must have excellent client-facing skills; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; strong ability to work independently when appropriate *Screening Questions:* - Please describe the total number of years and type of experience with Business Intelligence/ Datawarehouse environment? - Please describe any experience interacting with the business users to understand business requirements and translating those to ETL Data Architecture Design - Please describe the number of years’ experience with ETL Tools such as SAP Business Objects Data Services , Informatica… ? - Please describe years of experience with implementing data warehouse solutions with SAP HANA , Oracle , Teradata ..databases ? - Please describe your design and architecture experiencing with implementing data integration (ETL/ Data Quality) , Metadata Management solutions ? - Please describe your experience with leading Business Intelligence Tools ( SAP Business Objects … ? - Please describe any experience working with SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) Solutions which is a nice to have but not required for this role?
