In person interviews. *ROLE* : SAP Master planner *LOCATION*: Hopkins, MN *DURATION* : 5+ months to start notes* · manufacturing or CTP experience a plus · *demand and supply planning SAP/ERP experinece Required* *·** 5 + years* · *needs an expert who can come in and start helping with a minimal learning curve* · *reporting to the sr director of demand and supply planning and working with the directors 15 direct reports* must be a great communicator and team player *POSITION SUMMARY:* The Master Planner is a key member of the supply planning team who is responsible for understanding and modeling the available capacity of the manufacturing facilities to meet the requirements of the demand plan. The Master Planner understands what capacity is, how much is available, how much is required, and how to balance priority and capacity. The Master Planner balances production across the network and constrains the monthly demand plan with available capacity based on cost, targeted DOH inventory, labor, plant run-rules, and sequencing rules in combination with discrete resource capability in an iterative process. The Master Planner presents the results of the constrained models to senior and executive management in S&OP meetings clearly conveying the “pinch-points” while offering alternative solutions to achieve the plan. The Master Planner works cross functionally gathering key information from demand & supply planning, marketing, finance, and actively participates in a major corporate imitative that implements both new supply chain process and SAP APO SNP PPDS software. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * 1. Builds & Maintain Capacity Planning models 2. Reviews, communicates, and interprets the output of the capacity and inventory models to management. 3. Prepares “what-if” unconstrained/constrained analysis on “upside” volume to determine whether or not volume can be achieved. 4. Assists the organization in the Master Planning of Resources 5. Leads New Product, Product Conversions, and Discontinued Items process for Supply Planning. 6. Maintains master data within SAP (lot size, Safety stock, DOH, etc.) 7. Help the organization achieve desired metrics on KPI’s such as customer service level and fill rates, DOH targets, Inventory turns, etc. 8. Assesses current processes and recommends and implements improvements 9. Other duties as assigned. *SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * 1. Must have a thorough understanding of the Theory of Constraints and Process Mapping 2. Advanced knowledge of Demand and Supply Planning and S&OP processes with specific experience building and maintain capacity and inventory models. 3. Experience working cross functionally with Demand Planning, Marketing, Inventory Management, Production Scheduling, Manufacturing Operations, Transportation, and Customer Service. 4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify and convey complex issues or problems. 5. *Experience with advanced planning software (i.e. SAP APO SNP PPDS, I2, INFOR, etc.).* 6. Bachelors’ Degree required, Masters a plus. Strong mathematical background surrounding statistics, optimization, and heuristics preferred. 7.
