*Job Title: Sr. Big Data Engineer and Hadoop Expert * *Location: San Francisco, CA (Need Locals)* *Duration : 12+ Months * *Interview : F2F* *Job Description:* We are looking for Data Engineers to build & manage some of our "financial data processing jobs and reports". The Data Engineer will also contribute to overall big data platform development. You will work on some of the emerging technologies and tools for the data analytics and will have opportunities to be part of some innovate and prestigious projects. *Specific responsibilities include:* Develop and maintain our Big Data pipeline that transfers and processes several terabytes of data using Apache Spark, Python, Apache Kafka, Hive & Impala. Design and build reports and dashboards using Tableau or other reporting tools Perform adhoc data analysis, data processing, data visualization using SQL and other scripts Work directly with product stake holders at the company to help them solve their most difficult problems. *Qualifications:* The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated individual, self-starter with excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Should be passionate about building innovate data products and turning raw data into high quality actionable data. MS or BS in computer science or equivalent Hands-on experience with production Hadoop eco system (Proof of concept does not count) Experience on Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence platforms Experience in building reports and dashboard with "financial data" *Required Skills:* Excellent Programming skills using Python, Scala, Perl, Shell, etc. Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL technologies. Experience with Production Hadoop ecosystem. Proficiency with relational databases and SQL. Experience with Tableau or other reporting tools. Well versed in software development principles and processes, including: analysis, design, and continuous delivery.
