Work as part of a team in support of operational and project related activities. Provide technical and operational support to other departments and teams as required in support of business objectives. Minimum Required Skills / Competencies: * Knowledge of systems security, network vulnerabilities, network intrusion, and security management techniques. * Interfacing with system applications owners to refine network security requirements, validate security patches with the lab, and implement changes within the production environment. * Some experience with shell scripting and programming (KSH, TCL/Tk, PERL, AWK). * Competence with most UNIX commands/utilities. * Apply patches and upgrades to operating systems and layered software as required * Excellent working knowledge of UNIX, Solaris, HPUX, VERITAS, and Oracle * Experience working with Sun, HP, IBM, EMC-SAN hardware. * Knowledge of using tools like RedHat Satellite Server, and HP-SA (Opsware). * Ability to independently plan, organizes, and prioritizes tasks.
