The Master Data IT Business Systems Analyst analyzes business requirements, operational processes, and data relationships/configurations. The BA communicates pro-actively with numerous functional areas and gathers business requirements and translates these into master data settings. The BA must be able to lead design workshops, lead sessions with development team all within the context of Client’s data policy. Solutions will need to be global, cross-business unit, and cross-functional (engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance). The BA must understand the central and critical role material master data has in business processes. *POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Responsible for the successful implementation of SAP modules and processes within the Product Lifecycle Management and Master Data management core processes. Accountable for all project life cycle phases, with emphasis on translating user requirements into functional specifications for any associated Reporting, Data Conversion, Data Mapping, Interfaces, Integration, Enhancements, and Process design needs. · Primary responsibility for the successful *implementation and configuration of SAP* processes within the Product Lifecycle Management Core Process of the Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work Center, and Document Info Record. · Deep understanding of the business value drivers that underpin data management activities, a high level understanding of SAP master data, a customer service orientation combined with an aptitude for driving new initiatives through the business. An understanding of SAP and mainframe computer systems is also essential. · Assess the business customer requirements, match these requirements to objectives and guide them to the SAP processes and products including developing specifications and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals. · Prepare Data Mapping documents, Data Conversion Specifications, and Data Quality Documents for Master Data Conversion form legacy application. · Write test script for master data conversion reconciliation and develop SQL queries for master data reconciliation processes. · Maintain documentation, including solution, BPP, configuration, functional specification, and test scripts. · Plan, develop, and implement advanced concepts, techniques, and standards that support the strategic objectives of the applicable group. · Work independently with end-users and business partners to assess the business customer requirements, match these requirements to objectives and guide them to the applicable processes and products including developing specifications and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals. · Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creatively, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions. · Market and communicate program vision to project teams, key business stakeholders, and executive leadership. Ensure continued business sponsorship, engagement, and commitment. · Ensure proper validation documentation is created for all projects (i.e. MSCM).
