Job Title: Software Configuration Manager Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 12-18 Months POSITION: Software Configuration Manager [NOT a SW Release or SW Build Manager] *** WE ARE NOT IN NEED OF A SW RELEASE OR BUILD MANAGER *** DESCRIPTION: Seeking a Software Configuration Manager to be responsible for configuration management, build and release activities. NOTE: The ideal candidate would have built a CM framework for .Net applications, but even if they havent, as long as they have strong UNIX & Perl scripting and experience with QuickBuild, MS Build & Perforce (or equivalent), it will be good. MUST-HAVE SKILLS: Must have experience with these essential duties and responsibilities: - Prepare and Implement Configuration Management Plan. - Manage environments, builds and code releases. - Responsible for the administration, maintenance and upgrade of configuration management tools. - Manage and control the source code repository, currently housed in Perforce. - Provide Configuration Management information and release to integration efforts. - Developing required scripts or code to automate and integrate chosen configuration management tools. - Plan, manage and control releases using an appropriate release management tool. - Monitor and control the baseline build functions, making changes and improvements as necessary. - Deliver base-lined software to the integration, test and deployment teams. - Install and configure applications in the deployment and test environment. - Knowledge of SCM tools, Perforce, QuickBuild - Scripting languages, MSBuild will be used for build scripts - Perform SCM activities for .Net/MS SQL Server application --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Please includes the following information when submitting candidates.
