Job Title:  Juniper Network Engineer

Location: City of Orange, FL

*Job Description*

Reporting to the Manager of Advanced Services, Americas, this is a highly
technical role, providing post-sales on-site support of Junipers Network
Products. The Advanced Services Contract Resident Engineer will be required
to develop and maintain an expertise on the products deployed within the
Customers network.



*Base Qualifications*

 Candidates for this role *MUST have a minimum 10 years* experience
providing implementation and technical support of networking products in *LAN,
WAN*, or *Internet services environments*.



*Candidates for this role MUST be able to demonstrate the following
competencies:*

1)   Customer is a large county government with many sites distributed over
dark fiber and a few WAN circuits. Deployment consists almost entirely of
EX4300, EX4600, and EX9200. A few SRX/MX products, but the latter is not
the focus.

2)    Strong understanding of switching and routing in a campus
environment, including layer 2 protocols, as well as a detailed
understanding of Routing protocols Enterprise networks including: TCP/IP
fundamentals, IP sub-netting and super-netting and hierarchical routing
principles, Routing protocol operation (OSPF required, BGP desirable),
general understanding of MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs and the associated tunneling
technologies (GRE, IPsec, etc.), network/router security and common/best
practices.

3)  Besides troubleshooting, candidate will provide knowledge transfer to
the customer’s engineering team, as well as assist in the new deployment of
Juniper EX switches

4)     The ability to function in a team environment and recognize and take
on tasks with self-direction as well as the ability to take direction from
the customer, account team, and Advanced Services Management. The ability
to communicate well within the Juniper team articulating customer problems
before they become issues being proactive where possible.

5)     Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of Juniper Networks
router and firewall and switching products, passion to continue learning
and expanding your knowledge.

6)     Experience with the interoperability of a combined Cisco and Juniper
network desired

*The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the
following competencies:*

*10+ years experience* in managing large technical account activity
revolving around network products from multiple vendors.

Expert level relationship management, communications skills and
interpersonal skills to manage face to face communications on a daily basis
with multiple levels of customer management and engineering staff across
multiple departments within the county and its departments in a responsible
and professional fashion.

Expert level troubleshooting methodology to isolate and identify
configuration, design, and software anomalies; ability to clearly
articulate findings in written and verbal communications with development
level engineering staff.

Self starter, team player, personable, enthusiastic, hard working, and
enjoy interfacing with customers on a day to day basis.

Strong understanding of: *DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, UDP, and ARP.*

*JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCIE* a strong Must

Key words: OSPF, BGP, Multicast, NAT, QOS/COS, Spanning tree, Ethernet
Switching, EX, SRX, MX, Junos CLI, IOS CLI

A desirable plus: candidate could have prior experience with scripting or
programming languages including Python, SLAX, and NETCONF, and experience
with automation frameworks such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or others.
