*Job Description:*
Actively looking for an Windows/VMware ESXi Infrastructure Administrator
who will manage and support the company's growing infrastructure. The
position will span across the Infrastructure team currently consisting of
networking, storage, servers and virtualization.
The ideal candidate will be results driven, goal-oriented and possess a
strong capability to handle interruptions while multi-tasking in a fast
paced environment. The successful candidate will have the ability and the
opportunity to rapidly learn new skills and technologies in a high growth
setting and complex enterprise environment. Preference will be given to
candidates with Windows 2003/2008/2012, Cisco, JunOs, Checkpoint, F5,
scripting (Power shell, Ruby, Python), VMware v5.5, experience and some
hands-on experience working in a large production environments.
*Job Responsibilities: *
Collaborate with a strong team to manage and support the company's growing
infrastructure
Provide Tier 1 and 2 support across the Infrastructure team
Point of contact for performance inquiries
Standardize and automate server provisioning and decommissioning
Evaluate and implement new hardware and technologies
Maintain physical/virtual server infrastructure
Help maintain networks and security devices
Take ownership of monitoring applications (Vcops/Solarwinds)
Participate in on-call team rotation to assist in providing the highest
level of availability for our customers
*Qualifications: *
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
1-2 years of hands-on experience administering a production environment
(with an uptime target 99.99% or greater) with a proactive mindset
2 years of progressive work experience supporting 24/7 on-demand
applications
At least 2 years of experience in a complex production environment
*Exposure to some of the following technologies and application experience:*
Scripting (Power shell, Ruby, Python)
Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers
TCP/IP
VMware ESXi v4.0, v4.1 v5.5
VCops Monitoring
VMware replication
EMC and Pure storage
Solarwinds
HP IRS, SIM, SUM, OneView
Experience with standard System Administration tasks including server
builds, security updates, software installs and system troubleshooting
Experience with HP Blades and Dell servers
Automation based mind set
Ability to document systems and system changes
A dedication to producing to useful and detailed documentation
Security focused with a production mindset
