St. Joseph Health is looking for an IT Specialist – Data Archive ETL
Developer to be a major contributor to our Information Lifecycle program.

·         The IT Specialist – Data Archive ETL Developer is the primary
party responsible for designing, creating, and managing St. Joseph Health’s
data archive platform and performing related extraction, transformation and
load of data into the platform.

·         The Developer must regularly communicate with users and determine
what data is necessary to satisfy patient care, regulatory, and business
requirements while also managing user expectations.

·         The Developer must be able to listen to users and interpret their
requirements into actionable specifications.

·         The Developer will be responsible for building reports using
various tools and delivery methods with the goal of minimizing impact to
users after a legacy application has been retired.

·         The report data must be presented accurately, intuitively, and in
a manner aligned with security policies.

·         Additionally, the Developer will be required to communicate goals
and instructions to a geographically diverse team including Data Archiving
team members, the Application Architect, DBA’s, and application owners in a
clear and effective manner. Often, the Developer will also be required to
initiate contact with other staff to accomplish department and project
goals.

·         The Developer must possess strong organizational skills and
utilize them to create easy-to-understand documentation for all archived
data sets.

·         The Developer must also create and enforce execution scripts for
Data Archiving team members to follow will retiring applications and
archiving data.



*Essential Functions*

·         Ensure accuracy and integrity of archived data through analysis,
coding, and validation.

·         Create clear documentation of the process to be followed during
the retirement of legacy applications and archiving of Health System data.

·         Analyze and translate user data needs and change requests into
technical specifications.

·         Develop, test, and implement program logic.

·         Utilize ETL tools such as Informatica product suite.

·         Create custom reports using various tools including Crystal
Reports and JReport.

·         Research and comprehend data retention policies for industry and
organization compliance.



*Education:*

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related
discipline, and three (3) years relevant experience OR five (5) years
experience as a Data Archive ETL Developer.

*Experience:*

Two + years of translating business needs into end user applications
complete with documentation. Proven experience in database management, as
well as designing, developing, and testing data loading processes. Proven
experience working within deadlines and project teams. Significant
experience with various database types and configurations.

*Preferred experience:*

Healthcare experience or background, Informatics experience, Data retention
compliance, Informatica ILM & EDM experience
