*Job Title* Software Quality Assurance Tech *Project Location* Southborough, MA *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* A Quality Assurance candidate should be detail oriented with better than average communication skills, both written and verbal. He or she should possess a professional demeanor as well as multitasking, problem solving and organization skills. The candidate should also be able to work well in a team setting and should be able to deal effectively with all developers on the team. They will be able to develop test cases from business requirements and organize everything needed to complete those test cases and then execute them. When a problem is detected, quality assurance people are responsible for marking and noting the problems both to developers, in Version one and in Quality Center. The rejection of the product may involve sending the products for rework and working closely with the developer until fixed. As a member of the Quality Assurance team they will be responsible for end to end testing for product releases and working with Testing Center Of Excellence (TCOE) as needed during regression testing before releases. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Designing and executing manual test plans and test scripts for complete modules and/or workflows. • Converting business requirements into test plans and test cases. • Working closely with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures. • Bug fix verification and validation and creating defects in HP Quality Center as needed. • Acting as a Senior QA technical resource on project teams, working closely with not only other QA resources on other teams, but interacting with Developers, TCOE and Release Management as well for releases. SKILLS :- • Strong Communication skills. • 3+ years manual functional/regression testing design and execution experience • Strong understanding and hands on experience with QA processes and methodologies • 3+ years of test case and test plan design/maintenance • Problem solving skills. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge. • Experience with designing and developing test cases based upon business specifications documentation • QA testing on web-based applications • Troubleshooting skills. • Ability to influence others to achieve results. • Working knowledge of Java and development experience an asset • Oracle database concepts and ability to analyze and write SQL query/pl_sql language a plus • Strong technical aptitude -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
