Knowledge must include data warehouse operations and performance management. · Experience must include development activities with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) supporting database to database ETL activities along with strong T-SQL programming language skills. Required Skills · Experience developing traditional SSIS ETL packages along with DB to DB ETL activities supporting real-time and/or near real time data synchronization between transactional and data warehouse databases. · SQL 2008/2012 database modeling, design, and development. · Decision support activities including modeling and development of Dimensional Databases, data cubes, and SQL Server Analysis Services · Ability to transform business requirements into technical specifications and design and build solution components based on technical specifications. Guide business requirements gathering and write-up criteria to maximize the use of internal IT resources as we learn how to store and consume company data. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Expected Tasks · Update SSIS packages for migration to SQL 2012 cluster · Perform SQL migrations to SQL 2012 cluster · Develop reports based on user specifications · Configuring data sources, cubes, and dimensional databases for Business data analysts’ consumption through Excel Power Query, Power Map, Power View, OLAP Cubes, PivotTable · Data sources will likely go beyond SQL and may include accessing and importing data from Excel, leveraging SharePoint and InfoPath to address ETL data cleansing.
