Hi, Currently, I am recruiting candidates for one of my requirement as mentioned below. *Job Title* Sybase DBA *Project Location* Chicago IL *Duration* 6 months /Contract To Hire * Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI : Telephonic followed by Skype* * Need USC/GC/EAD-GC only Duties and Responsibilities* - Support and maintain Sybase ASE database environment, upgrade and migrate platforms and monitor procedures. - Develop and implement best practice protocols with development groups and other users. - Work with database developers to identify and resolve issues impacting production. - Integrate business vertical operational data needs into physical enterprise data model. - Function in 24x7 on-call environment - Perform operational procedures and maintain records. - Overall operational DBA non-prod and production support (BMC tickets). - Requires on-call duties. *Education and Training * BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field; *Professional Experience* - 3 or more of industry experience required in information systems. - 3 or more years of experience in database administration or related disciplines or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. - Experience with DBMS performance management and monitoring tools. - Experience in utilizing DBMS system management tools and implementation of new features and functionality preferred *Knowledge and Abilities* - Knowledge of database administration techniques and database administration tools. - Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
