*Position:- QA TESTER – Web API / REST / SoapUI* *Duration:- 12 - 18 month + contract * *Location:- Downers grove IL* *MOI:- Telephonic + Skype* *RESPONSIBLITIES* · Perform software testing on web/ web services/ client-server platforms. · Execute functional/system/ integration/volume/stress/performance/regression/smoke/UAT/API and database testing · Requirements gathering/ developing test strategies/ plans/ scripts/ test case creation/ test execution/ test results analysis/ defect tracking/ resolution/ reporting, using multiple testing methodologies (SDLC, Agile). · Use of test management/test automation tools. · Frequent interaction with clients. · Perform ETL functions and data cleansing/mining/analysis/auditing/validation. *REQUIREMENTS* · 7+ Years experience · *Strong experience testing Web services API - REST / SOAPUi testing tool or any other similar tool is mandatory* · Strong database / backend testing · Solid experience with writing PL/SQL or complex SQL queries and joins. SQL Data needs to extracted from Oracle database. Hence person should be able to write SQL JOINS or PL/SQL. Data gets pulled out from 3 to 10 tables sometimes · Linux and Ksh - will be great to have · *Manual and automated testing * · *JIRA Experience * · *Experience with Agile /SCRUM/Stories and Sprint Planning.* · Any cloud testing will be great – not mandatory · Any testing of micro services ( or just understanding will be excellent.)
