*Location : Manhattan, NY* *Duration : 6 Months +* * * Job Description :** *The Cognos Lead Developer’s role is to design and create business intelligence reports with the Cognos toolset. * * * *Essential Job Functions: * *• **Build and deploy complex business intelligence solutions that meet business needs * *• **Translate complex relational data models, business requirements, and the understanding of data usage into a business abstraction layer to meet business analytic needs * *• **Leveraging business abstraction layers, implement Cognos frameworks that will support both short and long term business needs * *• **Complete project analysis, design, development, and implementation deliverables * *• **Follow development and delivery processes to ensure consistent quality results that meet all security compliance guidelines and performance standards * *• **Lead problem resolution as needed to ensure customers receive prompt, efficient service * *• **Engage in setting direction for reporting and analytics vision and roadmap * *• **Provide Cognos technical leadership and development for IT and business personnel * *• **Recommend and implement improvements to development and delivery processes * *• **Collaborate and communicate effectively with business and IT personnel * *• **Perform all aspects of senior developer role as required for application production support, enhancement and project activity * *• **Basic Qualifications: * *• **Proven ability to deliver business abstractions layer over complex data models to support analytics and reporting needs * *• **3 - 5 years experience in implementing enterprise-scale reporting systems using Cognos suite of BI tools * *• **Expertise with Cognos 10, Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio * *• **Experience with Cognos Lifecycle Manager and migrations from versions 7.x and 8.x to 10.x * *• **Experience creating and publishing packages/multidimensional models using Framework Manager from multiple data sources * *• **Experience performing data modeling and query tuning in Cognos Suite from multiple data sources * *• **Experience designing and developing complex report studio reports involving drill down, and master/detail queries * *• **Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL optimization skills and OLAP tools * *• **Ability to tune SQL queries to optimize query performance * *• **Experience in working with and supporting large data warehousing implementations * *• **Strong verbal and written communication skills * *• **Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methods, architectures and technical standards * *• **Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.* * * *Preferred Qualifications: * * * *• **Experience and/or certifications around any of the following technologies: IBM Cognos, zVM * *• **Technical experience with data warehouse design * *• **A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in business intelligence administration and enterprise-level application and automated integration* ' Thanks and Regards *Andy* Talent Acquisition Team Glomark International LLC* *Direct: 908-333-5191 Fax: 908-688-8831 Email: a...@glomark-llc.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
