SKILLS: **Lead .Net Architect – 2 openings – both must have 3 years experience as a Team Lead* *Summary of Position* * * Responsible for the design, development, maintenance and enhancement of applications utilized by client and its business partners. Provide analysis of complex specifications and develop an application design that will satisfy the immediate requirement as well as provide opportunities for long-term expansion. Possess an ability to effectively explain the design to members of IT management and staff in both verbal and written forms. Complete research and development on new programming tools and third-party toolkits, and provide recommendations to IT Management regarding how to move forward with new technology. Act as a lead reference to the users of applications developed and maintained by the IT Department. Participate in user training on applications developed by the IT Applications team. Complete complex programming assignments and provide knowledge transfer to other IT staff regarding the details of the solution that was created. Lead regular code reviews with all programmers and provide guidance on any aspects of the application that do not adhere to standard practices. Act as a lead IT representative at corporate meetings and on corporate projects. Help to ensure adherence to procedures and guidelines set by the IT department including coding and documentation standards. Participate in a regular review of these standards. Propose and implement continual improvements. *Education and Experience* * * Must have a Bachelors Degree in MIS/Computer Science or equivalent experience. Must have 7 or more years experience with complex system design and implementation in the User Interface, Business Logic and Database layers. Must have at least 3 or more years experience in a technical lead role. Insurance Industry experience is a plus. *Technical Skills/Requirements* * * 1. Extensive experience with each of the following application development skills is required: · C# .NET 4.x, 3.x, 2.0 · ASP.NET Web Forms and ASP.NET MVC · ASP.NET Web Services, ASP.NET WCF, ASP.NET Web API · Automated Unit-Testing · Application Design Patterns · Multi-Tier Application Design · Web Application Security · Javascript and AJAX 2. Extensive experience with each of the following database development skills is required: · T-SQL using SQL Server 2008 or higher and DB2 or Oracle Experience · Create Tables, Views, Stored Procedures and User Functions · Design Relational Tables using proper indexing and security · Query Performance Analysis and Optimization · SQL Integration Services and SQL Reporting Services 3. Experience with the following technologies is a plus: · TFS Administration · Sharepoint Development · Sharepoint Administration 4. Must have a strong understanding of the Microsoft Server Operating System (Windows 2008 R2) and the desktop environment (Windows 7 and Windows XP). 5. Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle including experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server to manage the process. 6. Experience with an Agile Scrum development team is required. Participation on a team that transitioned to Agile Scrum is a strong plus.
