*Title of Job: Big Data Engineer * *Location: Boston * *Technologies: Big Data – ETL, Hadoop, HIVE and PIg* *Duration: 6+ months* *In-person after one telephonic * Client, has the largest and most transparent second-party data marketplace, called "The Qniverse," which aggregates over 1 billion online shopping behaviors of more than 200 million U.S. consumers each month from retailers, product brands and e-commerce sites. Our growing workforce is more than 200 strong today and is located in multiple offices across North America. We are looking for engineers with a passion for solving data problems to build and enhance tools for processing our many streams of voluminous data. We’re integrated with real time exchanges processing 10 billion requests per day and have close to 1PB of data in our warehouse. ------------------------------ *Responsibilities:* · Design and implement an ETL platform from multiple internal and external streaming/merging data sources · Demonstrated ability in developing solutions using a combination of technologies to pull data from a giant data store to different needed reporting and analysis/control applications. · Significant Experience with Hadoop/MapReduce/Hive · Expert knowledge of SQL, relational database design and methods for data retrieval · Demonstrated use of data analysis languages like Python /Java/ Pig for near real time analysis · Knowledge of or interest in Business Intelligence platforms (Pentaho, Cognos, or Business Objects.) · Understanding of web analytics, behavioral targeting or online marketing analysis. · Ability to work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions. · End to end design / develop /deploy experience in a big data / data warehouse project · Demonstrated design leadership experience *Requirements:* · BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience · Knowledge of Spark, HBASE and other emerging big data technologies a plus · Advanced time management skills including ability to handle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines. · Professional, with strong organizational, communication and technical skills. · Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customer of all levels. · Experience identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions. · Demonstrated ability to interact with multiple teams working towards a common goal Regards *Sumit Kumar* Sr. Talent Acquisition *T: 248.565.4747 | Extn. 168* *skum...@tekshapers.com <skum...@tekshapers.com>* Fax : +1-248.254.7211 Tekshapers Inc. 1441 E.
