*Job Description:*

The QA Tester I - New Products is responsible for loading requirements,
writing test cases and linking test cases to test requirements. Responsible
for executing test cases and scripts assigned to them by the QA Lead or
Supervisor. Performs defect creation of failed test cases and root cause
research of failed test cases. May be required to assist in the gathering
of requirements and provide requirements analysis. Works with development
resources to triage defects they find, and retest defects.

*Primary Responsibility:*

1. Participates on Governed Strategic Projects.
2. Executes manual test cases assigned by the QA Lead.
3. Identifies expected results and compares to actual output values.
4. Creates defect tracking records based on failed test cases.
5. Monitors defects and reviews for root cause analysis.
6. Communicates with development resources to triage (prioritize) defects
they find.
7. Monitors bug resolution efforts, re-tests and tracks success and
failure.
8. Summarizes and documents problems with program function, output, online
screen, or content.
9. Involved with the continual improvement of test processes to provide
improved quality assurance and reduction in testing cycle time.
10. May provide back up to the QA Test Lead regarding meeting facilitation
and reporting as needed.

*Education:*

Bachelors Degree: in a related field of study with 1-2 years work
experience in software development or QA.

*Qualifications:*

In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, equivalent *w*ork experience is defined as
five (5) or more year’s professional experience performing software
development or quality assurance and testing to include manual
functional/regression testing design and test execution, or prior
leadership experience - analyzing business requirements and design
documents to determine best approach for testing. Proven experience
understanding technical details of the product(s) and trouble shooting
issues working with the technology team. Knowledge of the Software
Development Methodology required. Understanding of databases and services
including the ability to programmatically interact with data formats
preferred. Facets/healthcare domain knowledge (Group, Membership)
preferred. Knowledge of Group sales/renewal related activities (preferred).
