management service. The contractor’s resources must have the below
identified programming languages as well as extensive experience with the
Defense Departmental Reporting System (DDRS) applications. The contractor
must be able to work in a distributed team environment.

Required skillset:

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in production MS SQL Server 24x7 on call support.

Plan and Lead database development, documentation and maintenance of
databases including:

Design database environments and create databases

Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain database objects

Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain database security and audit
solutions

Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain database recovery solutions

Execute data recovery

Manage database performance, capacity and availability

DBMS SW implementation, upgrade, patching

Use best practices, work plans, checklists and defined processes.

Proactively support application teams.

Perform SQL tuning.

Provide advice on application data issues.

Participate in project technical reviews.

Lead work product reviews.

Develop and maintain database support documentation.

Monitor database environments. Proactively identify and prevent incidents.

Take ownership of complex database incidents and problems, providing
resolutions in a timely manner.

Engage SMEs or vendors to provide assistance to resolve more complex
incidents as required.

Backup and Restore databases.

Tune and resolve database performance problems.

Effectively manage and monitor all aspects of RDBMS environment.

Support development, test, and production MS SQL Server environments.

Implement database change requests.

Assist developers with MS SQL Server issues and questions.

Follow and contribute to database best practices.

Education and Experience Required:

5+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or
equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a
degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+
years in total).

MS SQL Server certification 70-432 is a plus.

Skills and Requirements:

Experience with MS SQL Server 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2014 Enterprise on
Windows Server 2008 is required.

Experience with MS SQL Server in a clustered environment is a plus.

MS Windows Server 2008 Enterprise is required. Experience with Windows
Server 2008 in a virtualized environment is a plus.

Knowledge of MS Windows Security Domains and Networking is required.

Experience with replication (transactional or log shipping) required.

SQL language programming experience/knowledge is a plus.

Experience with SQL Maintenance Plans and SQL Agent is required.

Familiarity with MS Sharepoint is a plus.

Minimum 4 years MS SQL Server DBA experience including extensive production
support required.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.

Ability to obtain a US Public Trust or DoD Security Clearance, if required.
