*Security Controls Engineer with UNIX, scripting and network support | San Jose, CA or Austin, TX* *Skype* *6 month +* Day-to-day: The Application Security Engineer will be working cross-functionally with teams to provide security consulting services and driving new security initiatives as an integrated aspect working with the development team within an SDLC environment. The candidate will work with the application development team to test applications and identify vulnerabilities as a part of the SDLC. This candidate will work to ensure security vulnerabilities are fixed and consult the team on how to fix said breaches within the source code as well as relay the impacts to business if vulnerabilities are not remediated. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: · Conducting manual application security testing and source code auditing for a variety of technologies. Provide clear and detailed risk assessment and remediation guidelines for developers and business owners. · Conduct penetration testing targeting critical data, services, and environments as needed.
