*Job Title - **Principal Engineer - High Performance Java* *Location – **Downtown Boston, MA (Locla Only)* *Duration – 6+ Months * Client Highly Prefers* In-Person interview* after Phone Screen. *Position Profile: Principal Engineer - High Performance Java:* · Develop a new breed of in-memory data analytics platform. We have created technology enabling analyses which are largely infeasible today, and the product is poised to change how data is used in business. We need your help to drive improvements and extensions on this technology which preserve its blazing fast performance and take advantage of its unique data structures. Come equipped with outstanding creativity and exceptional technical intuition. · The Developer will bring expertise with Java’s more advanced, performance-optimizing features such as JNI and NIO, as well as strong knowledge of how to mitigate the impact of garbage collection on high-performance applications. This individual will have the intellect and experience to throw conventions aside - crafting solutions outside of the object-oriented paradigm with the sole goal of maximizing performance. · Experience in C++, C, and/or assembly will come in handy. This role is for you, if you dislike Java’s inefficiencies and want to write code which takes advantage of Java’s strengths while replicating the efficiency and performance of lower-level languages. · A firm grasp of information theory will be extremely useful. We apply compression and indexing whenever possible.
