In this role, you will design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available backend services for our client's web and mobile applications. *Responsibilities:* · Code, test and debug programs ensuring optimal performance using advanced programming techniques. · Cultivate analysis and development skills by learning new and emerging technologies. · Use appropriate tools to design solutions. · Participate in evaluating new development tools, methods or frameworks for secure coding techniques. · Create thorough unit test plans for new functionality, applications, conversions, etc. through full regression validation. · Write technical specifications and system test plans for mid - large projects. *Requirements* · Highly proficient in Java – J2EE (Including Servlets / JSPs). · 4+ years experience developing REST Services using Spring MVC / JAX - RS · Experience building and consuming JAX - WS / JAX-RPC Web Services. · Skilled in database design, preferably DB2. · Advanced SQL experience. · Proficient in web service technologies (XML, XSD, etc.), JDBC. · Experience with Java IDEs such as Eclipse or RAD. · Experience with troubleshooting and debugging tools such as Fiddler, Wireshark, Chrome DevTools, etc. · Experience integrating with Mobile front end is desirable. · Websphere experience a plus.
