Skill Priority Order is Oracle 11G/12C, PL/SQL, Unix and then any other
Oracle tools.  Expert PL/SQL Development on UNIX

Candidate should be strong with Analytical Functions
Strong Communication skills
Unix and tools are a plus (Unix commands/shell, scripting languages)
Must be able to debug data issues. Not only create the fix, but have the
Analysis skills to evaluate and make sure the issues do not happen again

May be asked to do code reviews for other consultants in this group

Although financial services/investment management experience is only
desired, candidates with this background will be given the priority
The Manager prefers local candidates as an in person interview will be

* Responsibilities*

o   Making performance improvements for code developed by others, guiding
junior developers on Oracle best practices, occasionally working with Data
Architect to add new tables and data elements, working with DBA to migrate
code to production, developing triggers

*Requirements::*

· Develop efficient database code using best coding practices

· Experienced in developing Stored Procedures and packages (at
least 3 years in-depth knowledge)

· Developing triggers, views to support database work

· Tweaking and performance tuning queries for efficiencies

· Creating/assist development packages/scripts to be deployed by DBA

· Working experience with Version control software

o   *ETL development a plus, but not required. Strong understanding of UNIX
is a plus. “performance tuning” would be a key skill.*

*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:*

As a Software Engineer you will

· Work with our agile teams across Business, Technology and
Operations in a fast paced environment to develop innovative solutions to a
variety of real business challenges

· Perform data analysis and develop software in support of the
Finance and Operations functions primarily using Oracle RDBMS and
Informatica ETL platforms

· Be a liaison between the DB Operations and DB Engineering teams,
and be expected to analyze and resolve complex business issues

· Work on lifecycle initiatives aimed at simplifying and
modernizing our technology stack

 *Education*

· A degree in Computer Science or equivalent is highly desirable.

· Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Database Development and
Analysis; 18 months or more in the Financial/Investment industry would be a
strong plus.

 *Experience, Skills and Knowledge*

 The ideal candidate will

· Have a solid understanding of financial data and experience in
the Investments/Banking Technology sector, as well as strong understanding
of Oracle Database concepts

· Have at least 5 years of in-depth experience in *Oracle PL/SQL
and Informatica/ETL development*

· Have worked in Agile environments, and familiar with Test Driven
Development practices

· Have familiarity with Data Modeling tools like Power Designer or
Erwin

· Have experience working with geographically distributed and
remote project teams

· Possess very good written and oral communication skills, must
have a ‘Can Do’ attitude

· Have the ability work independently with minimal supervision in
an exciting fast paced environment
