Specifically responsible for managing development, and test Microsoft SQL Server database platforms in an enterprise datacenter environment; performing SQL Server administration and configuration management, installation, and patch management; and database performance monitoring; working with application and development teams to provide support for new applications including new database development, test environment and SQL performance tuning. Key Responsibilities: • Manage development, and test Microsoft SQL Server 2012/14 database platforms in an enterprise datacenter environment which includes: • SQL Server administration and configuration management • SQL server installation and patch management • Database backup/recovery planning, implementation, documentation, testing, and management • Database performance monitoring, evaluation, and tuning • Acting as the deployment and configuration manager to optimize and standardize the deployment of SQL DBA • Work with application and database vendors on both project and operational issues. • Work with application teams to provide support for new applications including new database development, test environment refreshes from production, stored procedure development, and SQL performance tuning. • Interact with the system and network infrastructure and application teams to maintain a highly available data platform; provide uninterrupted database services to the application and user community. • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
