*MOI: PHONE+FACE2FACE*

   - A minimum of 8+ years of development experience across multiple
   platforms
   - Strong understanding of software best practices as it applies to web
   application, integration service and REST API development
   - Expertise in C#, WebAPI, and MVC in vNext / Mono in a .NET Framework
   4.5 environment
   - Experience with:
  - deploying, configuring and tuning common application servers and
  packages, including container-based application deployment (e.g., Docker)
  - web-based technologies of one or more of the following: ASP.Net,
  MVC, IIS, WCF, REST, JSON, SOAP
  - Agile development methodologies (SCRUM)
  - Language-Integrated Query (LINQ)
  - web-scale projects, software design, project management and
  implementation tools
  - unit test frameworks, dependency injection and application
  profiling
   - Exposure to VNext / CoreCLR technology, ideally participation in the
   early access program of Microsoft’s C# and MVC cross-platform
   implementations
   - Experience:
  - implementing RESTful services that go beyond simple database access
  (i.e., calls out to other externally-hosted web services such as
SOAP/REST)
  - mentoring teams that are new to C# and ASP.NET technology
  - in SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, S3, Mongo, Redis,
  Memcache, BigQuery, ElastiCache, or Event Store
  - in design patterns, both high-level (e.g., GoF) and those idiomatic
  to C# and MVC
  - in object-oriented analysis and design using UML
   - Proficiency with:
  -  computer operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, and Unix
  / Linux (e.g., shell scripting, troubleshooting)
  -  asynchronous programming (e.g., Task Parallel Library, async,
  await)
   - Understanding of service-oriented architecture
   - Extensive knowledge in Visual Studio, Visual Studio.NET and Git /
   GitHub
   - Significant experience with tuning and refactoring code, and assessing
   the impact of architectural decisions on performance and scalability

client is in the financial/ media industry. They are seeking a Lead C#
Developer with strong MVC 5 skills, as well as REST API and web services.

*Role;*

   - *8+ years with C#*
   - *Strong with MVC5*
   - *Will do 60% development 40% leading and mentoring team members who
   are java developers*
   - Tech Design
   - Billing - nice to have, not needed
   - Exposure to to functional programming concepts (Haskell, F#, Scala) is
   a plus but not needed
   - HTML, CSS JavaScript etc = nice to have
   - *SQL  NoSQL good*
   - Know unix command lines etc don't need Linux Unix hands-on just
   concepts

*Role*

? Be part of a team designing business and technology solutions.

? Regularly launch products and services based on your work and be a
creative and integral part of making these a success.

*Namely, a single web service call into me may be handled by making several
web service calls out, more than one of which would change data. Similar to
the classic two-phase commit problem, only without native transaction
control.*



Responsibilities

? New product development, customizations, and enhancements, working
closely with crossfunctional staff to deliver against project goals.

? Participates and reports status in scrums

? Produce documentation



Skills and Experience

? Strong understanding of software best practices as it applies to web
application and REST API development

? Object oriented programming ability (such as C#, C++, or Java)

? Experience with *web based technologies with a combination of the
following: ASP.Net MVC, IIS, WCF, REST, JSON, SOAP. Experience with HTML,
CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery is a plus*

? Experience with Agile Development methodologies (SCRUM)

? Understanding of service oriented architecture

? Experienced in using various design patterns, both highlevel (e.g., GoF)
and those idiomatic to C# and MVC.
