This Quality Assurance Testing Analyst will have a broad knowledge of testing methodology tools, with an understanding ofbasic system architecture and technology platforms. This position requires a person who has some experience at handling small technical situations and has proven verbal and written communication skills. · In addition to a testing background the QA Test Analyst also needs basic analytical skills, have an understanding of different infrastructure platforms and the ability to identify risks and issues. Interpersonal skills will be used in the supervision of lower level QA Analysts. *Required Skills:* *·* Web Services, MF and Distributed platforms, Rational Performance Tester, Rational Functional Tester Rational Team Center, and Rational Quality Manager and SQA programming *RESPONSIBILITIES* *·* Provides testing services for enterprise applications and infrastructure, including: distributed internet technologies and infrastructure components such as network components, and server and client/PC devices adhering to QA compliance and standards. · Designs, develops and executes test cases and scripts through analysis of product specifications and software requirements. · Actively participates in test execution and the development of testing artifacts, including: test requirements, defect tracking and reporting and test plans, cases, scripts, reports, etc. for assigned projects. · Provides knowledge of testing tools such as RQM and is able to mentors others in the use of these tools. · Designs and executes E2E tests. · Participates in requirements/design reviews, project team meetings, and implementation planning on single projects. · Ensures all deadlines associated with testing are met. · Ensuring all defects within assigned areas are reported prior to production deployment with no new issues found post release. · Supports daily metrics/status reporting to the QA management. · Develops, executes and analyzes test scripts for End to End Testing. *QUALIFICATIONS* · Working level of knowledge with Rational tools suite, i.e., RQM, RFT, and RTC. · Experience with developing a detailed approach to testing process definition and documentation. · Familiarity Firewalls, J2EE, Web Services, and mainframe and distributive environments. · Applied experience and analysis in designing, creating, maintaining, executing test scripts and defects root cause analysis in order to recommend better solutions. · Knowledgeable in setting up testing environments. · Understanding of software development life cycle management practices and methodologies with emphasis on software defect identification. · Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and find root causes · Ability to adapt to changing situations with ease and adjust schedules to meet deadlines. · Ability to think “outside of the box” with a creative approach to testing · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Vi) · Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information · Ability to work well independently and in a team environment (onsite and globally) · Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:* · Technical, communication, and presentation skills are required. · Will have practical experience in and a solid understanding of the use of test tools – preference would be the following IBM Rational tools · Minimum of three years of planning, implementing testing at the project level. *Education:* · B.S. in Computer Science, or other Applied Science *Dheeraj Chauhan | Sr. Technical Recruiter | RJT Compuquest* 222 N.
