OK, that's really interesting and useful and would have saved me a lot of

them in the online datagrid documentation. I wonder how many other useful
functions are there that aren't documented.

of doing it that way rather than using the stackfiles property?

Hi Stewart,
I downloaded your stack but having problems getting it to work. I select a
stack file then I get the beach ball cursor (not even spinning) and nothing
appears to happen - I end up having to do a Force Quit. This is on a Mac
with OSX 10.6 and LC 4.6.
Any ideas?

Thanks Jim,
I tried it with 4.5.3 and 4.5.2 on newer format stack files and older ones
and same result so not sure what's happening.

I'm sure I could write a script to go through all my handlers and extract
the comment block but before I start down that road, are there any code
documentation aids out there for Livecode?
Thanks,

say you'll spend a lot more time learning how to use LiveCode than how
to set up a simple SQLite database, although the LC learning curve is very
much worthwhile.

Thanks Stewart, I'll take a look. By the way, there are actually only three
types of people - those who can count and those who can't...

I like that idea. Maybe something as simple as just hiding comment lines
might work.

I think Mike's solution is the best. I didn't know you could mark cards in
the way he suggested - doesn't seem much point in rolling your own when LC
can do it for you. I guess the performance thing could be an issue if you
can't use a custom property and there's a large number of cards.
