This can be caused by an installed program. Here for example someone is mentioning that the program BOINC caused that popup message in his case. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252157812 Do you have Xcode or the command. line tools installed at all? Or is a version of the command line

Annoying pop-up message

This may be off-topic, but I don’t know if it’s related to my Mac OS or LC. Lately I get a periodic pop-up that says “The ‘C++filt’ command requires the command line developer tools. Would you like to install the tools now?” I have no knowledge of doing anything that uses the above command. I’m
