What platform?
On a Mac, you can use sips. It's included with the OS. Example - typed
on the command line:
sips -g pixelHeight -g pixelWidth /Users/pdslabs/Desktop/IMG_4411.jpg
The output:
/Users/pdslabs/Desktop/IMG_4411.jpg
pixelHeight: 750
pixelWidth: 1000
