Is the internet date in a consistent format in every country? That is,
except for the spelling of the day and month names, is the format always
the same?
Where I am, it is: Tue, 1 Nov 2016 01:35:55 -0500
Geez, where did the year go?

Mike,
you have a good and clear concept (and LC will have probably soon
one too?).
What I can't see in this discussion is the "mass of widgets".
This sounds as if there were already close to 1000(!) in the
folks. What I can find is below 40, not such a mass.
I started a community thread, nobody e

The one and only reason of this 'unlucky' naming was
the desire, to retain Elanor's authorship, acknowledging
her fundamental work not only with that widget.

The problem that we run into is when someone goes off the grid. I can
think of several tools that are, in effect, abandonware. There are, for
instance, a certain mobile framework, a certain report writer, and a
communication framework for a file sharing service. Let's start with the

In the dictionary click on the api menu and choose “Segmented Control” then
filter for itemIcons which is a comma delimited list of names from the svg
library.

In case the subject line is not clear enough...
LC widgets include a choice of icons (for the "Segmented Controls" widget
these range alphabetically from "adjust" to "youtube"), and these icons can
be selected/changed through the "Object inspector".
But, how can the icon be changed from a script

Hi all.
I'm going to throw this out there, and see if I get a bite. I have been
spending a good part of the day trying to debug a plugin, I won't say which. To
do this I set the global gRevDevelopment to true so I can step through the
scripts. To my horror I am finding a number of errors where

True, but so far I'm able to get those easily enough with shell calls on
Windows,
Thanks Peter. Yes I do use the Dialog data regularly, but heretofore only when
returning from a modal stack. Return provides a quick one liner to return a
value or array of values, but again, I can just use properties, which works
like a poor man's variable scoping.

Hi Bernd,
1. Did you register "elanorb" as a LiveCode developer ID?
DropShadow can be made available in LCB, just extend
the widget with your code for that and rebuild it.
Or:
Use the SVGText-widget, which has (fixed) dropshadow.
For that do in the Property Inspector of the SVGText-widget
[1] check "useShadow" in section "Colors",
[2] copy the iconPath of the SVGIc
