I’m not sure what you mean here as you always build on disk? Do you mean save
as standalone menu? No you need to add it manua

Here's a new twist. I did not include the remote debugger in a
standalone I'm building. When I did a test build with my phone cabled to
the Mac, LC asked if I wanted to start a debugging session. Apparently
it doesn't know the app didn't include the extension?
At least it's asking me again.

What platform? On mac if you build a universal app you will have standalones
twice the size of a single architecture app.

Thanks Jonathan, looks interesting - thank you for sharing it.
I have some problems (MacOS 10.10, Mcbook Pro, LC 9.0DP8 Business) -
will email them to you directly.
But (perhaps) more generally interesting for the list - I then tried to
download the iPad version, and ran into "This app is not

Yeah...I've been trying to test my stack with versions that are past 8.14
in hopes that certain glitches are getting resolved. and they are.
everything seems to be running fine.. BUT the standalone is twice the
size.
what could be causing that? ...i've seen it a bunch of times now.

just fyi. i don't know if this is what u need, but you can easily apply
the same datagrid template to more than one data grid object. which could
achieve the same result as a shared group in most use cases.

Thanks for posting this, Jonathon. I’ll definitely look at it. Right now my
wife and I are packing up to return to Santa Barbara. We’re in the Columbia
Gorge, where there is a wildfire raging about 20 miles away from us and the
smoke is a real pain.
Thanks a bunch for sharing.

I have a project where I need to extract data from the resource fork of

Several LC versions ago getResource and getResources no longer worked.
But I just checked the v8.1.7 Dictionary and they're not marked as
deprecated.
Anyone here use those on the latest OS X with a versi

I you set the sharedText of the fields in the row template does the DG
turn that off?

I will try to put something together. Hopefully it will work in a simple stack.
Mine is too big and comples to just send. I tried before and I exceed mail and
file limits.

Yes, so while I am working in the IDE, the menus appear, but if running in a
standalone, the handler removes the custom development menus.

You know, I remember this happened to me a while back. There was a junior
Pastor who liked to sit at this one coffee shop nearby to do his sermons. Old
laptop no problem. New laptop, he couldn't even CONNECT to their wifi. He could
everywhere else, just not this ONE coffee shop.

no, I just wanted to display the SAME data in the same datagrid on more
Klaus.
Not sure what you mean. Is it that you want specific fields (or all of them)
in a DG to have their sharedText property set to true?
You can do this by hand:
set the sharedText of fld "col 1 0001" to "true"

Thanks Sean. I finally had time to check your file and indeed it
displays correctly in 8.1.6.
It still displays wrong in 7.1.3, but it displays differently than the
file without profile, so this must be the profile issue that was fixed
in 8.1.3.
In other words, my problem is with the way jpe
Hi friends,
the subject says it all, someone tried and succeeded to put a datagrid
into a group and place this goup on more than one card?
But since the fields in a datagrid (table) obviously have their "sharedtext"
prop set to false, I doubt this is possible at all. Any hints welcome!
But that
Hi Bob,
This sounds like a regression. Please do file a bug report (and don't
forget to include a sample stack :) ) and we will fix it in 8.1.7 RC-2.
Best,

I'll have to find out the answers and do a little more testing. I didn't
have any trouble at all today at a coffee shop near me but one of the
testers has found a very reliable bad network so I can ask him to try the
things you've mentioned.
We were joking today that we have good news - - ever
