Maybe the user wants to allow connections rom desktop computers to the mobile App to upload data to the mobile app. The idea itself to do the data exchange with a webserver running on the mobile app is not bad. Another solution would be mergFTPD, but that external is only available for iOS.

Hi Tiemo, but you did not create a .pkg from the a notarized app, did you? You have to create and code sign a .pkg from the code signed, but not notarized, .app and then you have to notarize only the .pkg or the code signed .dmg, if you want to distribute as .dmg. So the steps are 1. code

Richard, was there a change in the configuration of your web server recently? Is your web service using php or LC server? I am not sure if this is of help, but there is a debug stack available for tsNET. Maybe the debug information gives you some more information.
