Re: All Versions of LC crashing in Sonoma

2023-10-03 Thread Rolf Kocherhans via use-livecode
@Matthias and the Mothership,

My Apple Developer account expired several years ago, and I'm facing a critical
issue with one of my LiveCode Apps, Clarify, developed by Trevor DeVore. This
app is extremely important to me.

Unfortunately, Clarify is no longer actively developed and has started crashing
with Sonoma. I am wondering if there's a possibility to resolve this issue by
signing the bundles. I am more than willing to invest in a new subscription
with Apple if that's what it takes – I can't imagine my work without Clarify.

Could someone please test if signing the bundles might make an app functional
again?
Your assistance in this matter would mean the world to me.

Cheers,
Rolf

Maybe my observation is not the reason for the crash. Would really not make
sense, when an unsigned app would crash instead of reporting an alert.

But code signing the complete Livecode app bundle would proof it.

Did someone btw had a look at the system log file after the crash?

Re: [ANN] Release 10.0.0 DP-1

2021-12-14 Thread Rolf Kocherhans via use-livecode
First of all thanks for the WebAssembly HTML5 implementation. This is really
great stuff !

I already played with it a lot and found that some things work better others
don't.

For instance all my URL stuff (loading a stack on same domain) is unfortunately
not working anymore.

Also, all the PHP scripts which I used to access, which downloaded stuff from
other domains and then displayed
the result in the Browser don't work anymore.

Is this just me - or is it just not implemented yet ?

And if it is not only me, is this something high on the list ?

2021-07-08 Thread Rolf Kocherhans via use-livecode
Hello All

For all doing HTML5 stuff, try the new 9.6.3 RC-1 Release,
finally it can now do HiDPI scaling !

The stacks on webpages now look beautiful !

Thanks to all who made this happen !

WebAssembly and HiDPI scaling for HTML5 when ?

2021-04-03 Thread Rolf Kocherhans via use-livecode
Hello LiveCode Engineers

I am very patiently waiting for HiDPI scaling and WebAssembly
to be incorporated into HTML5 in LiveCode.

Looking at the Git pages it seems to be already ready for a very long time ?

https://github.com/livecode/livecode/milestone/193

Do you have an estimate when you will be able to release LiveCode 9.7-dp-1 to
public ?
It has been in development for almost 1 Year now.

I would like to push HTML5 development on my side, but the "blurry appearance“
of
the published stacks with the low resolution is stopping me because it looks
very
unprofessional for 2021.

Please put a little more resources into HTML5 development it would be a real
winner for the whole Platform.

Regards
Rolf

Question about script-only stacks

2018-01-26 Thread Rolf Kocherhans via use-livecode
There seems a lot of hype recently about script-only stacks.
I agree that they are cool vor GIT and work perfectly, but
it came to my mind - how are you go about it when you want to
protect your scripts.

Are they also encrypted by a password when you compile a stack,
and if not what would be the best way to d it ?

Cheers
Rolf
