Click on the wrench, then About Chrome OS, and in the top bit of text in the dialog that appears is a More Info link, click that. You then have the choice of setting Stable, Beta, and Dev - Unstable. I'm on that one! On Jun 21, 2011, at 5:25 PM, Chipp Walters wrote: > I couldn't find the devel

I take it you know there's a developer option in settings, where you can get OS updates as they happen? Not sure if that does the offline thing yet, I'm just doing an update now. On Jun 21, 2011, at 3:59 PM, Chipp Walters wrote: > Google is planning for offline mode by the end of the summer.

Andre, I think the Chromebook really competes well with EPCDs (Everday Portable Computing Devices) like iPad more than a notebook. I understand it's a direct competitor to netbooks, but it has more of a full notebook computer experience as far as speed and display go. It truly is larger than a net

I have mixed feelings about chromebooks. I tend to place them in the same category of netbooks and then they lose the competition but I know they are a whole different thing with a different purpose. I just think they should be cheaper. $250 would be the right price for an online appliance like tha
