I added your function to my project and it works great! I have some lines that
have tabs in them. How can I modify your function so that it does not count
lines if there is a tab in a line in addition to lines having “CHC”?

I have a scrolling field that contains a number of lines. Some of the lines
begin with “CHC. I have been trying to number only the lines between lines
that contain “CHC” and then starts numbering again between the next pair of
lines containing “CHC”
For example,

5.
CHC

2.

repeat for each line myLine in theLines
if CHC is word 1 of myLine then
put 0 into myCounter
