great chance you're running Rev universal binary. To use altuit
externals you must use rosetta emulator because the externals are not
universal binaries right now.
www.revcentral.com
has the recipe to get Revolution running in rosetta so that you can
fiddle with altuit externals.

The altBrowser external has not yet been released as a universal binary. We
expect to have this done in next week or so. Please check back.
