In a manner of speaking, tRev does have a message box--Revolution's.
If you type cmd+m (cntl+m on PC) in tRev you are switched to
Revolution and the message box appears.

I think the solution is to include preOpenstack, openStack and
closeStack handlers in all your stacks. Even if the handlers are
empty. That goes for cards too.
