I know that causes of crashes has been discussed, but I can't find
it in the archives. I've got a stack that started crashing
yesterday, and I'd like to know some common causes I can look for in
my scripts. Thanks in advance.

The weird thing is I've done these several times already, but now I
can't figure it out. I want to duplicate one of my substacks so that
I can rename and modify it--rather than starting from a blank
substack. Seems like that should be easy, but no. Thanks in

Here's a script I use to set the defaultFolder property for a
standalone. The part for OSX works perfectly, but the part for Win32
doesn't. I've placed all those answer commands in there to check
variable and property values as I go.

I develop in OS X, but when I build stand-alones for either OS X or
Windows XP, I often get unwanted graphic artifacts like a selection
boundary around a button or field. If I click a different button or
field, the boundary goes away, but it's always there the next time I

single and double quotation marks don't display properly later when
