cards. The text image and audio files are all in a resources folder. Everything
works fine on my desktop, but when I try to build a desktop it is made and will
run but while the text files are read from the resources

Hi Edward,
Have you copied the resources folder? In your specific case, a copy of your
resources folder needs to be located next to the standalone (on Windows) or
inside the application package next to the executable (on Mac).
