Is there a difference between focusable and locked text in the basic
properties of a field? If so what is that difference?

Thats sounds very handy tool, would you mind forwarding a copy to me ?
OK, I made a small test application to show how it is used, along
with the .rev file used to create the stack, and the full source,

Hmmm, Chipp try this URL:

The other URL is supposed to load that page automatically - that's
what I get for using the .Mac HTML tool! :-)

With RR 2.6 I no longer have to install SAPI 4 to make speech work on
Windows XP. So I take that to mean it works with SAPI 5.

There are two versions of revSpeech that ship with Revolution - one that
works with SAPI 4 and one that works with SAPI 5. The default is
presently SAPI 5.
If you look in the components/global environment folder you will see two
externals:
revspeech.dll
revspeechsapi4.dll

The ODBC functions are implemented as a forward-only snapshot. Random

Locked text cannot be changed.
Focusable text can be selected for copying, even if it is also locked.
If you want to allow locked text to be selected, make sure

Hi Liam,
I thought I had already answered this, but I can't find the answer, so
I guess I just imagined it :-)
Yes, I have only used these devices on Mac OS X. I use an FTDI

Yes, ( OSX 10.3.9 + 2.5.1 ) has the crash behavior with dbl-clk from Finder
as you described.
I get the Rev IDE running and drag the icon to the dock, 'over the Rev icon'
or start within Rev. On Win32, the dbl-clk works just fine.
I did develop the habit of saving frequently for the occasional

I've used altBrowser successfully on several projects, so I can

I have altBrowser running on Win32 most every day, all day. Restart each

Hi Thomas,
Too bad you didn't check with [EMAIL PROTECTED] first as it's the
preferred way to handle such problems.
Have you downloaded the latest version? Sounds like you're using and
older version of the altBrowser external, which Apple broke with 10.3.9
and later versions. There was a
OOPS, that's the 'DEMO' version which was setup to run on Jaguar and
uses the old version of altBrowser.bundle external. I'll get that fixed
soon. The purchased altBrowser gives you access to the new/improved
version and runs fine in 10.3.9 and greater.
