How would I go about doing that?

It reports the space available for HDFS.
Thanks,

Ambari is adding a lot of mount point by default. You may to double check on
your Linux server if there is a fs of 53G or so.

Could you double check that your datanodes are using the correct mount point?

You need to re run ambari-server setup

You should be able to just update the Ambari rpm.
Alternatively, the brute force approach is
yum remove ambari-server postgresql-server
rm -Rf /var/lib/ambari-server /etc/ambari-server /var/lib/psql
then you should be able to reinstall

Log on your ambari-server bring it down and reset it
$ ambari-server stop
$ ambari-server reset
If you are using postgresql – installed and configured by ambari server, you
should be able to restart. If you are using MySQL or Oracle, you will need to
drop / re-create the database manually.
$
Alternatively, you can use the –j flag during the ambari-server setup step. It
will setup the ambari.properties correctly. You will need to ensure that all
hosts do have the same java path. If you plan on using kerberos, you wiil need
to also deploy the JCE files.
ambari-server setup –j
Unfortunately, it's a two step process atm. Install via blueprint and then API
call for kerberos.
IIRC, it's on the roadmap.

You need to have a user home directory on HDFS. Log as the HDFS user and create
a home dir for root
# su – hdfs
$ hdfs dfs –mkdir /user/root
$ hdfs dfs –chown root:root /user/root

Hi Shaik,
I’m unsure why you’re posting it to ambari mailing list as it’s not ambari
related.
Anyway, have a look at the following doc

You should find as part of the src.rpm a spec file. The spec file will give you
the option which have been used at compilation time.
Thanks

IPA is the red hat directory server (ex Netscape) bundle with a kdc. Its
perfectly suited to run as your kerberos server. I know of few customers who
are using it in prod with mid to large size clusters.

It's probably a good assumption. You need to have distributed the public
ssh key to every hosts ahead of time.
An alternative is to install ambari-agent on each node, configured it (edit
/etc/ambari-agent/conf/ambari-agent.conf and point it to your
ambari-server) and start the agent.
Thanks
You can run
getenforce, it should give you the status (enforcing, disabled or
permissive)
If you're in enforcing, you can switch it to permissive by running
setenforce 0
Fyi, I don't believe that Ambari can run with selinux enabled. It might be
better to switch it off once for all by editing
/nagiosgetenforce
Permissive
but its not working. Do I have to disable it?
Is there any other option?

Both issues seems to be related to nagios group not being present. If you
do a groupadd nagios and restart the installation you should be fine.
I believe I've seen that it was fixed in 1.6.1

You can run ambari-server setup -j /path/to/your/jdk
You should also make sure that you have got it installed on all nodes in
your clusters.
Kind regards
