I have realised what is causing the problems with Futon. It is Internet
Explorer 11. I recently upgraded which may have been a mistake. First
Google stops working properly, now Futon. But Firefox works as expected.

Also please clarify if fauxton http://localhost:5984/fauxton/ *also*
doesn't work, as that's probably more of a concern.

I also got document conflicts when working with Futon.
In my case it was related to document caching in the company http proxy
and/or caching in my local proxy (privoxy).
As soon as I disable the proxy, and access Futon directly the problem
does not occur anymore.

Hi,
I have been using Futon to create views and today though I can create
new views eg _design/test/_view/ where test is new, I can then not
edit or create new views in test after that.
I get a pop up of
The document could not be saved: Document update conflict.
I also had the View
Just to add, I notice there is a 409 error in the logs - a conflict when
the _rev value is not part of the post. But I am doing this via Futon
which should handle this (and has done previously).

Odd, sounds like Futon is confused. Try clearing your browser cache
and reloading the page. (That or someone else is editing the document
in another window)
