I actually ended up using an iRule to generate a set of passwords (using a
hashing algorthim on the IP address of the endpoint) which I store statically
in MySQL and put into the user request to guacamole. The password is sent in
clear text in the URL, but for my purposes that doesn’t matter.

I'm using guacamole 1.0.0 on ubuntu 16.04.3.
I faced the same issue described in first post as :
When I try ti use Audio Input from a distant W10 station the guacamole
session interrupted.
No matter the browser I use.
I tried the workaround from Guacamole-296 but it did not worked for me.

it works and can copy English text, but it can’t copy Chinese text from local
machine to remote machine. I checked the Guacamole and guacd source code.
