I am not sure what you mean. A screenshot might be helpful showing it work
for one data source and not the other.

Have you changed any default settings? Have you changed the Elasticsearch
index templates at all? Does the duplication occur for only one sensor
type or for all sensor types?

I've deployed a profiler with 2 profiles. When I start the profiler, everything
works fine until the first flush. After that, my profiler keeps restarting for
no reason. The topology logs before the restart:

There are no special steps in Metron for upgrading to Open Distro.
You can upgrade your ES cluster in the usual way through snapshots and then
just specify new OpenDistro nodes names in Metron index settings.
You may encounter some changes in working with ES, such as removal of mapping
types
