I guess you need to to try
file
and try it from command line on both machines
Both these Ubuntu machines are desktops? servers?

Hi!
I have JRE 1.6 in both my local and my remote server, but the conversion

Hello everybody!
I'm having troubles with uploading libreoffice files onto the whiteboard:
as I select one, after the upload all I get is a big orange crossed
rectangular box with deleted written on it.
Checking the openoffice.log the only thing noticable is
LOG DownloadHandler: The request file
/ because there's only the original
ALPHANUMERIC.odt in there
It's like JOD correctly generates the file but the it vanishes!
Does anybody have a tip for me?
Cheers!

Don't worry, until now I'm working on a pc in LAN that I use as

I noticed that 770 works as well, but it doesn't convince me

Hi alvaro! Thank you for your interest!
I just tried but it didn't work..
do you think is a good idea changing the ownersip to nobody instead of
_red5-user ?

Hi Giovanni,
Do you made: chown -R nobody /your_path_OM_installation
in which the conversion from test/office/photo to jpeg for the
board are temporarily stored, but nobody made clear which is it in
OM3.0.0

...i think so Giovanni,
For me it was the solution to upload avatar image, upload
file
privileges? root? www-data? Tomorrow I'm gonna try again.
thank you Alvaro!

Giovanni, 777 is not the solution, would be security
problems, but is a hope to see that works!
About LibreOffice be sure every path is right in
Administration
/boot.jar ?

Hi Maxim!
My final command is
$ sudo ./red5.sh
Here's the last chunk of what I get from the interpreter:
Starting Red5
+ exec /usr/bin/java -Dpython.home=lib
-Dred5.root=/opt/OM-3.0.0/WebContent/red5

somehow you have bad red5.root
please try
export RED5_HOME=`pwd`
./red5.sh
no need for sudo not sure what environment is set for user root

I try to download the zip again: it's weird: at present, the latest
official release in openmeetings.apache.org/downloads.html is 2.2.0; to
find the 3.0.0 you have to visit the archive
